ENGINEER/ENERGY CONSULTANT 

Gething is really just starting off, but builds on 20 years of our founder's experience running similar businesses. We have a good pipeline of interesting work and are seeking an engineering type to join the team. Work is based in Adelaide, with flexible working arrangements half to full time. 

 

Scope

  • Electric vehicles and charging infrastructure

  • Rooftop solar power

  • Air-conditioning (efficiency)

  • Energy efficiency

 

Likely work includes:

  • Analyse electricity interval data and other energy data in Excel.

  • Provide technical advice to team and clients.

  • Assess energy opportunities, including site visits and desktop analysis.

  • Write reports.

 

Desirable attributes:

  • Electrical (or mechanical) engineering (trade) qualification.

  • At least two experience with an engineering consultancy.

  • Interest/experience with solar power or HVAC (CEC accreditation a bonus)

  • Ability to analyse complex data in excel and write concisely and in plain text

  • Skills (or willingness to learn) with CAD drawing

  • Understanding of the grid connection process for embedded generation with SAPN (and other DNSPs)

  • Interest in autonomously learning new technical concepts to become internal subject matter expert

  • A personal purpose consistent with Gething's.
